Sales Tax Administration

The City of Tuscumbia has contracted Donnie Allen, owner of Sales Tax Auditing & Collection Services (STACS) to collect the sales, rental, and lodging taxes. They can be reached by calling 256-383-5569.

Sales Tax Rates:
General Merchandise 3 1/2%
Automotive Vehicles 3/8%
Farm Machinery 3/8%
Manufacturing Machines 3 1/2%
Places of Amusement 3 1/2%

Lodging Tax Rate 3%

Rental Tax Rates:
General Merchandise & Linens 4%
Automotive Vehicles 3/8 %

Sales Tax payments are based on the calendar month and all tax due should me mailed by the 15th day of the following month to avoid late charges that would apply if payment is postmarked after the 20th of the month. Zero Returns may be faxed to 256-383-3496.
